The Beer!

Join Yards Brewing Company to celebrate the coming of Fall. Yards is Philadelphia's biggest and best brewery.  Whether you swing by the corner bar for a beer on a Friday night, or swing by the Brewery for a keg for your birthday, Philadelphians who love craft beer, love Yards.

Every adult Finisher will receive a free Yards Brawler to celebrate their run!

The most approachable of Yards' ales, Brawler is malt forward and delicately hopped for a knockout flavor. Its smooth character, hints of caramel and toast and remarkable drinkability define this ruby-colored brew as a true session ale.  It is the perfect beer to follow your run on a cool autumn day.

The Glass

Every 5,000 Yards Dash finisher earns a souvinier glass to toast to their achievement.

This glass is almost guaranteed to be a first in your collection. With retro style, this glass is as crafty as the beer that fills it. The large bowl and narrow top trap the beer’s aromatics while the flared lip releases the beer to the palate and the aroma to the nose. The design also enhances proper head retention.

The Cause

“Philly Achilles” pairs disabled athletes with compassionate and trained guides who place an emphasis on safety to ensure that our disabled athletes reach their optimal fitness potential.

The non-profit group has a diverse range of disabled athletes and over 60 dedicated volunteers who travel from all over the Delaware Valley and New Jersey to participate in our group workouts and support our growing number of athletes. Since the inception of the Philadelphia chapter in 2012, the organization has completed numerous races from 5ks to marathons. When one athlete succeeds at achieving a milestone, we all succeed!
