Asheville is a known power center for the Craft Brewery Revival, which is why we are excited to partner with Hi-Wire Brewing to bring you an unique 8k chip timed race through the Heart of Asheville.
- 8k Race starts at South Slope Tasting Room and finishes at the Big Top Brewery in Asheville, NC
- Music and Beer Festival 10:00AM-2:00PM
- Free Pilsner Glass and custom metal coaster to all finishers.
- Lawn game zone with Cornhole, Life Size Beer Pong and Kan Jam
- Beer specials all afternoon.
- Food Truck festival at the finish line!

The Beer!
Every runner over 21 year old will receive a thirst quenching Hi-Wire beer. Hi-Wire's flagship and seasonal offerings are brewed to be balanced and approachable, how brewers have been striving to brew beers for thousands of years.
The Glass
Every Hi-Wire 8k finisher earns a souvenir pilsner glass to commemorate their achievement.
This glass is no boring pint glass. The Oslo glass features a thick base with flared sides – It will be your favorite glass to enjoy a beer and then some.
The Cause
We are ecstatic to partner with the Blue Ridge Rollergirls! Founded in June of 2006, the Blue Ridge Rollergirls make up Asheville, NC’s first all-female, flat track roller derby league. The league’s mission is to actively create, promote, and sustain an environment that fosters strength, courage, vitality, and the empowerment of women in the roller derby sport.
