The Schuylkill River Relay is a rain or shine, 50K race that starts and finishes at Lock 60 on the Schuylkill Canal in Mont Clare, Pennsylvania (adjacent to Phoenixville). The course extends all the way to Conshohocken and back again. The Relay is divided into six, five to six mile legs. Aid stations occur at the transition points.
Runners can compete as individuals or in teams of 3 or 6 members. Teams are assigned timing bracelets on race day.
Your race registration includes:
50k individual (Ultra) or team race that starts and finishes at beautiful Lock 60 in Mont Clare, PA. Course extends all the way to Conshohocken and back again. This race is divided into 6 legs that are 5-6 miles each. Aid stations occur at transition points.
Chip (bracelet) timed course. Runners pick up their bracelets on race day.
Covid Precautions will dictate what after party we are allowed to provide.

RACE COURSE & packet pickup
Start and finish along the Schuylkill Canal in Mont Clare, Pennsylvania at St. Michael's Park.
This race begins in waves, starting at 7:30 am. Your start time is based on your self-declared finishing estimate and must be provided at registration. Runners who expect a longer finish time start first. All runners will be through the start line and on the course by 10:45 am.
Runners follow the Schuylkill River Trail through scenic Montgomery County and Valley Forge National Park all the way to Conshohocken. This year, the turnaround point will be at Stoddard Ave and Harry St- Immediately next to the SEPTA Conshochocken Train Station.
Race day beginning at 7:00 am under the pavilion at St. Michael's.
Team captains will pick up for their entire team! Packet pickup is contactless. There is no early pickup. Your entire teams equipment for the day will be in 1 bag, bibs, shirts, medals, swag etc.
7:00 - 9:00 am at the brewery with a 10:00 am race time

Given for fastest 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams of 3 and 6 in male, female, and coed. As well as overall Ultras Male Female 1,2,3
Covid-19 Safety Measures
We will be assessing the environment as we approach race day to determine which elements will be needed.
Packet Pickup will be contactless- Relay Teams- your entire teams gear will be in 1 bag, food, water, shirts, bibs, snacks etc.
Corral Start will be spread out over four hours beginning at 7:30am with no more than 50 runners starting per hour.
Runners will be assigned times to spread them out over the course of the hour.
No more than 5 runners may start at any one time.
Mask must be worn at all times except while running. Runners must carry a mask with them in case they cannot social distance on course.
Runners must begin the run with a mask on that covers your nose and mouth. Runners may then lower it/not have it covering your nose and mouth except for when you are unable to socially distance on the course.
There will be no water stops for Relay Runners. Instead runners will be given an water bottle at the beginning and end.
Ultra runners will have the opportunity pick up water and snacks at exchange points in a contactless way.
Packet pick up is contactless. Runners will be assigned to bubbles.
Runners will let us know by phone/text when they arrive and they will receive their materials
All awards will be based on chip time. All awards will be mailed. No award ceremony.
On the morning of race day runners must check their temperature. If they have a fever they must not attend and can automatically transfer to virtual program. If they have any symptoms or had symptoms in the prior week, they must not attend.
We are giving all runners both their water bottle and finish line food in their contactless packet pickup bag
Runners will not be permitted to arrive more than thirty minutes before their scheduled start time and not permitted to congregate at the start/finish.
There will be no afterparty this year. Instead, you will receive a coupon to redeem for your free beer when you visit Sly Fox's taproom.
No Spectators will be permitted. Only runners may be on course and at exchanges.
